man, i used the clemson playbook today (was Oregon, played against Ohio State on Heisman) and it was awesome. love the zone run and the i-form plays. the only thing is that in i-form twins, the power o is to the side of the two wrs. i like to run the power o away from the two wide outs, so i usually have to flip run.

Try the INSIDE ZONE out of SB TRIO, WING TRIO that is, great play, called off tackle I think, hell I am getting this book and the EASTERN MICHIGAN book confused with one another with the SB trio sets lol!, who cares, great books, great formations, great zone runs, life is very good right now for irishfbfan1!

lol I think you need to really look into Idaho, both emu and idaho have great running attacks but I much preferred the passing in the Idaho book.

I have lppked at both, love them both, but the CLEMSON book gives me way more options I am looking for, not option plays that is. I almost went with EASTERN MICH and who knows I may still. IDAHO is beastly with all the oneback formations. I like having SG 2 RB, I am currently working on a scheme that can be used with any book that has one's favorite 2 back set, and audibling to the SG 2 RB as an option. Kinda like FSU used to do back in the day when they had Charlie Ward. That was a great offense and I can somewhat emulate it with the CLEMSON book.

The SINGLEBACK TE WING TRIO is simply awesome. Here you have a set that has a complete offense within it. The formation audibles themselves allow one to come out in any play and have an answer to what the defense has in store for you. Im telling you this is a great book.

Hey Irish, have you checked out the Georgia playbook?

I forget the game's description of it, but it is a very nice Multiple-style book. Lots of great Ace formations (including Bunch; i know you love those compression sets lol), as well as a solid compilation of I-Form and Shotgun formations (a couple of trio sets = more compression for you lol). And the goal line package is the Power I, which is probably tied IMO w/ Ace Jumbo Heavy for the best running formation in the game.

Btw I saw you mentioned the Southern Miss book as one of your 3 primary books. I haven;t looked at that book yet, what is it that you like about it?

I've been looking for a new PB to use in my dynasty with the Irish (usually use a run heavy or pro type book...I LOVE to run), and really looking at running a spread and establishing a good run game with the constant threat of an open passing attack. So far, the 2 that I really have taken a liking to are this Clemson book and Mississippi State. I really like running the read option out of the Gun Wing formations in MSU book. Instead of the RB read going wide (Sweep), it goes inside (Dive). I was messing around, and had some monstrous runs with both Allen and Hendrix) That along with the Zone Read PA makes for a great combo.

I like Clemson's book because it has alot of options in Ace and I-Form, so if I wanna go back to a traditional run game, I can. So far these 2 are in the lead in being my next playbook.

I think the Vanderbuilt PB is something you would like. It has the best Shotgun Normal Flex Wing in the game and Wing Offset. That gives you two great wing formations to run from. Plus you get the wildcat and wildcat spread. For undercenter you get lie 3 or 4 ace and 2 i-formations. My only beef with this PB is no empty sets, but if you can live without it I think you would like it.

Great timing...been messing around with different books again, and got to the Vandy one. That, along with the UL Monroe books were 2 that stood out for me. I think both have passed Clemson at the moment...My only gripe that I've seen so far Re: Vandy's is no counter in the I-Form Twins set...I love running that play out of that set. Otherwise, so far so good. And yeah, Empty sets aren't essential for me at all. I'll use 'em at times, but I usually like to have a back in there.
